Finished product! Im really happy with it, but algae growth has been very rapid. I have 2 65w coralife 50/50 bulbs. Any suggestions on how to stunt the growth a bit? I have had to clean it off every week which is getting old.

How long are you running your lights each day? Cutting the time they are on will help keep it down. If it's brown algae then that's just diatoms which are very normal for a new set up tank. If it bugs you then get a pair of adult male BNP and they will clean it up in a hurry for you and keep it under control.

Yeah i had my lights on 14hrs per day. I turned down to 13. There are a couple amazon swords in there so i didnt want to lower it too much. I dont mind the algae on the rocks so much, i think its green algae. I just dont like it on the glass. On the gravel it looks like it could be brown algae. I may give plecos a shot. Thanks

I run the light on my planted tank for 8 hours. In my opinion 13 hours is a little to long.
