    Default Round or Square?

I read a post that asked if the belly of the cichlid was round or square.. in concern to malawi bloat. When i feed my fish, one in particular seams to get a full belly look that is square. I belive this to be over eating on that fishes part but how can i be certain? poop is normal color and appitite is very gluttonish,, it does seam that before the eve feeding that this look to her belly goes away. So is this bloat? or does over eat? and what if any thing can i do? or should i not be concerned.. all the other fish dont have this.thanks folks

It appears you have a real pig on your hands Kimberly. As long as the belly is going down by the evening feeding, all you have is a big hog on your hands. Feeding Mbuna non meaty protein will help lessen the chances of bloat as well as good clean water, meaning water changes every week. When I used to raise Mbuna, they ate everything from Spirulina, Romain lettuce, spinach, frozen peas and cucumbers not to mention plankton, as well as a good African Cichlid pellet.
