Default Declorinate before or after adding water?

Someone brought this up in another post, but I thought I'd start a new thread...

I hadn't really given this much thought until now...How important is it to declorinate the water BEFORE it is added to the tank? I haven't been doing this. I change 50% of the water 2x each week, and it is just a whole lot easier just to reverse the direction of water flow in the cyphon and fill the tank back up again. Then I add the appropriate amount of declorinator directly to the tank.

    Problems with this???

Everyone seems to be healthy and happy.

I agree.... unless you have sensitive fish (and that doesn't describe any of the neotropicals I keep).

Do you treat the full amount of the tank or just the amount you are adding?
