    Default single white spot

so today i noticed my keyhole has a single white spot near his gill on his side. No other spots on any fish that ive seen so far, i will keep an eye out. Is this the beginning of ich or could it be something else?

It pops out but not really pimple like, kind of seems like its tiny white and sort of stringlike, or even like a tiny worm hanging off. Thats the best description i can give, trying to get a pic but hes the sketchiest most shy fish ive ever had.

If you have a QT tank I would move him into there asap so if it is something serious you can confine it to just that fish
