Crushed flake food like a powder, brine shrimp, anything little they can fit in their mouth, i personally like baby brine shrimp, seems more attracting.

im not keen on flake foods they seem to cloud my water, i suppose a few flakes crushed wont do any harm. When you refer to baby brine shrimp do you mean dried??

great...i purchased regular today lol, ill go back tomorrow. I have a 20g tank cycling as from today and i also have a hanging fry nursery in my 75g, thing is, even with my syphon i cant seem to be able to suck the fry up, i was thinking maybe if i put a bottle in they might wonder in and i could then transfer them to the nursery whilst i wait for my 20g tank to cycle

Personally I'd move the bumblebee catfish to their side of the divider while they're still small enough. No clue how common they are on your side of the pond, but around here you can't give the buggers away. They'll outgrow a 20 gallon tank rather quickly. I grew out a brood of cutteri last year, sold and gave away a bunch of them, and finally had to cull 80 (mostly breeding size adults) to reclaim some tankspace.

The convicts, they'll breed in a bucket and once they start spawning they just keep going. Female convicts are actually rather notorious for seducing any available male cichlid if there isn't another convict available.
I've had a couple dozen broods of cutteri fry over the last year. I have several pairs that spawn regularly (result of letting a few fry from an earlier spawn grow out) and a couple of knife fishes to control the fry. If you can find homes for some of them by all means grow them out. Just be aware that the pair will produce hundreds more, and nodoby wants or needs that many of any fish.
