    Default Shells for Multis

    What size shell am i looking for for multis? and where can i find them for Cheap? I tried all my LFS' and all i could come up with were a few turbo snail shells. i am afraid there are not enough and my fish are comming soon.

    contact "tank11" on aquabid. com...he has a variety of shells.

    try shellsaplenty.com and look for gold mouthed and silver mouthed turbos 1 1/2 to 2 inches or delphinula of the same size.

    how many do i need? its a 10g tank and i have 6 multis on the way.

    at least 2 per fish...they like to have choices.

    You can get cheap shells at Walmart in the crafts section. Not all of them will be useful, but you can get enough for 6 multies for about $6. They're $3 a basket. I use those and turbo snail shells.

    Some people use little pvc elbows, which I'm thinking of trying. It would make it a lot easier to get them out of the shells when it's time to sell them.
    Just being for awhile.

    i just got some shellies and i remember reading that escargo (snails) shells are the most like the one in the lake.
    so i called a french restaurant and viola, plenty of shells 50cents each, nice looking shells too.

    They seem kind of small. They say they're 1", but you got to figure some are going to be smaller and how big is the hole on them.

    The escargot shell idea will work too.
    Just being for awhile.
