    Default 75 Gallon Angelfish Tank

Just got this tank from a friend and decided to move my Angelfish into it.
    Here's the plan...
    Substrate-
Using the Walstad Method in here. Got a layer of topsoil underneath a layer of sand.
    Equipment-
I am running 2 Hagen Glo T5 HO fixtures. For a total of 216 watts. The bulbs are 2 6700K Daylight and 2 Plant bulbs.
For filtration I am running an AC110 and Penguin 350B
    Plants-
    2 Amazon Swords
    2 Unknown Swords
    1 Dwarf Lily
    Rotala Indica
    Myriophyllum Tuberculatum
    Dwarf Sag
    Vals
    Fish-
    6 Anglefish
    4 GBRs
1 Hybrid Syno Catfish (didn't know it was a hybrid when I bought him)

Not done yet, but here are some pics of today's progress.

Looks good Fatman. In time your Angels may outgrow a 75 but I doubt it. I can't wait to see how it looks upon completion. Good luck and keep the updated coming. Congrats!

Good looking start. Pick up a bunch of your plants/fish from the GCCA?

Nice job on the tank. Please send pics when the fish are inside, they have a lovely home. Keep me posted on the oak leaves. Julia

That's my dream driftwood set up tank. Fantastic! SO Jealous, love s. american tanks. Had one here and there, never did live plants but made it look natural with silk plants and driftwood. I must say i was never able to get nice brancy large pieces like that! Congrats

Thanks everyone! I'm really happy with how the tank turned out. I'm using a cycled filter and putting the Angels in tonight. I have 5 right now (with 2 of them paired up). 2 others look like they might pair up, so depending on what they do will depend on if I go with 4 Angels or 6.
All the plants and driftwood I have gotten online and from stores in the Chicago area. 3 of the Angels and the GBRs came from local breeders though. 1 of which is part of the GCCA. If I get another Angel and GBR they will be coming from a breeder as well.

I have more plants coming. Hoping that they get here while the weather is nice. The tank should look even better then, with a forest of Vals in the back and some nice cover of dwarf sag up front.

Will post more pics as things change.

Got pics of the Angels in there. Just gotta find time to upload them. I'm adding in a few Otos as well to keep algae under control. From what I've read they won't bother the eggs when my Angels spawn.... hoping that's true at least
