    Default New office tank

I'm new this site, and new to raising Cichlids. I picked up a few Red Zebras for my tank at home and they started breeding. This peaked my interest and created a need for a tank to raise the little ones. So I set up this tank in my office at work. The picture attached was taken this morning. I am in the process of cycling the tank. I seeded it with a filter pad from my desktop 5 gallon last Friday. I dosed it with amonia and am now seeing a build up of nitrites and the amonia is decreasing. Hopefully I will be adding some fish by the end of next week.
Well it's back to work for me, would like to say it's nice to be a part of this site and thanks for all the info so far.

Default Thanks, glad to be here

As for the abundance of babies, what do ya do with them. Are pet shops willing to take them? I can definately see that being a problem.

Many of us let them spit in the tank and that way only a very few survive to adulthood.
