    Default ebo jager crap

As of the death of my 2nd ebo jeger is 1 year I would advise against the perchase of any of the eheim build ebo jeger heater, if you want one bad enough, find one built prior to the hostile takeover by eheim

that's a shame, to ruin a solid line like ebo jager. i love mine, but they are a few years old now. when did eheim buy them out?

Sad, I have two, one came with my 55 used, maybe 20 years old and still works like a champ.

the old green toped ones were wonderfull. the new blue top ones are crap. I found water vapour in the one after only 3 months.

and like several others I phoned the company to ensure that the heatrs were still fully submersable. BULL

So let me get this straight...... Eheim produces the "best" canister filters made, and buys the "best" heater producer, and destroys the quality of those heaters now under their management???

    Does this make sense???

yes it does.... actually. This is a more common occurrence than you may think in industry!

They buy a quality name, and then milk it by reducing costs to pay for itself in a hurry.... eventually they may let the quality come back with a "new line" that "fixes" things, but often they just cheapen the trademark too much to ever be quality again....

yeah, my heater built by eheim recently felt like not working. A shame to see something go down the hole like that company.

and of course, lifetime warenty, 2 year warenty, or even 3 month warenty meens squat without the reciept.

although if a product is "lifetime"
and has water vapour in it

    where is the agrument?
no it isn't our product?? yeh right
no it isn;t still under waranty (um, lifetime?)
no it wasn;t manufacturers defect (even if it ran dry, water vapour would not be the resut.)

it is their product without question, it is a defect without question and it is still under warenty without question. love the coverage
