    Default SHOCKER....Convict eggs!

I knew it was only a matter of time...But, I do think my pink convict does the species proud!! He is thick, and has gorgeous fins, so, if any convict is going to spawn, it might as well be him. His mate is a gray female....She looks like every other convict out there. They haven't bee too bad on the tank mates yet, I think I have plenty of room for all them. I hope to have about 3 or 4 of the offspring that I can raise. NO MORE!

I'm raising 2 convict fry currently. It's a lot of fun watching them develop and slowly develop little personalities.

you have somuch chance to do that..raising convict fry is too easy;i suggest to try to kill the rest of those 4 guy because they won't die themselves.

I now have free swimming fry....Looks to be about 100-150, but who knows? I'll keep ya posted on the progress. The parents are doing a great job so far, but there are a lot of eyes in that tank checking out the babies.

Well....I managed to kill all those fry. I pulled them and put them in a 5 gallon with a sponge filter, within three days, they were all dead!! I was feeding them the powdered fish food that is made for fry, and they looked like they were eating. I'm thinking maybe something was in the tank (Poisonous)....I got it from my mother's shed....Anyways, more fry in the cave as we speak. I'm going to let the parents fight off the rest of the fish and see what happens....They can't do any worse than I did.
