Looking for a digital camera any recommendations?
OK next semester I am going to buy a digital camera.
My requirements
1)MUST be an SLR.
2)Body should be less than $1000.00.
3)Must have Flash sync
4)Must take smart flash, compact flash, MS/MS pro, or MMC/SD
media cards or sticks(these are the kind of ports on my computer)
5)Should be able to be used by household members without camera experience.
Any suggestions?

I think that means me...
I should use this space to promote the photo contest...but I can't think of anything clever...

It can be used as a fully automatic point and shoot - no experience necessary.

I second the Digi rebel, you should be able to get the kit for under 1000 by now.
I've seen the body for as cheap as 700 online.
The photocontest, like everything else is behind schedule. You get some links back today.
