TOM- "I've got a Ford Maverick. Original. Wanna go for some carrot juice?"

    seedy: lol...shrooms tast like styrofoam...
    mattV: you've eaten styrofoam??

Agez: what do you eat? (talking to toms bot)
    CIHCLID: CICHLID eats patterns.

MattV- "dhali's not dead. just out of focus."

heyguy74: Also, when dealing with larger fish that 1 inch of fish per gallon goes out the window. You cant have a 24" inch fish in a 24 gallon tank. Good luck.

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys, I didnt know convicts came with some coloration, that is why I wondered maybe HRP.
Thanks for the great comments. As for compatibility whispering wolf, I only acquired the "con" a little while ago, and the 5 inch Zebra Mbuna seems not to mind him. Of course, the con has it's own little territory ( a log and a plant) and hes always safe in there, since the Zebra can't fit in there. But, so far so good. Thanks again for clearing up my cichlid identification problem and thanks for the comments.

here are some pics I found. keep in mind that these fish are one of the most difficult to capture in pics due to their metallic coloration.

    pair

    female

    male

    male

    female in breeding dress

    and male again

I'm not sure if you can tell by the pics, but if you have both cons and HRP's you'll notice the body of a HRP is more elongated and they're not quite as tall and stocky as a convict. and in person, you absolutely cannot mistake the 2 due to the blue coloration of a HRP.
