    Default Lazy A$$ Ancistrus ;)

Basically, I think my bristlenoses are lazy. I have 2 of them in my 75, and I drop in 2 wafers every night. They have never seemed too savvy about cleaning the glass. And since I've increased my light output to sustain plants, they aren't working fast enough to keep my wood clean. So my questions are:

    1) Should I feed them less to make them more industrious?
    2) Do they just not eat the glass and wood algae(perhaps not even algae)?

I really just want to get more out of them

Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thanks everyone!

PS The one has grown considerably faster than the other. Do you think the smaller one is suffering from the competetion, or is a 75 gallon large enough for the both of them....

You are feeding them too much!

I only give one algae tablet once or twice a week. Other than that, they eat what's in the tank and they keep it real clean.

?? mine are algae eating machines. Quite active for a pleco too. I hardly fed mine for awhile, I would just switch them from algae covered tank to tank. Clean within a day or two. They started breeding so I put them in a breeder setup in hopes of more. I give them zucinni abit and they still keep that tank clear.

I'd probably feed them less if the tank that they are in wasn't so clean. I usually judge when to feed by looking at their belly region. If that certain plump look is not there, then I feed them a wafer.
