    Default Multi Fertilized?

Well I finally got one of my red zebras to breed but I think it was with a powder blue and or the other red zebra. She's on her second batch right now and the first fry are 1 inch.
My question or thought I've been pondering is, is it possible for more than one male to fertilize the eggs? 10 of the fry are orange like the red zebra, and the other 16 are a dull grey/brown. The first three that were released are of the brown/grey and a little bigger than the rest of the fry and their fins are of a shade of blue.

hi noelemac--glad to see you're back. it's definitely possible that the eggs were fertilized by different males. she could have started to spawn with one male--he gets chased away by another and she continues with the new male--fickle females!

I just wanted to show these guys off, the way they are white to black, oh and big papa. One with flash and one without. The one with flash makes him look majestic.

I went to a seminar awhile back on cichlid breeding behavior. The speaker said that in the wild the female may spawn with several males just like the males may spawn with many different females.
    Just being for awhile.

ewwwww,,,, get me started on why I cant name my own cichlid, lol. It looks as if thats what happened here though. Of course it could be the course of genetics I got in biology too, brown eyes, blue eyes = green eyes. Well, I know papa dont recognize fry from early ages. Cause I put an orange one in and havent seen him/her since
