hey everyone! new to this site. how long has it been here?
anyways, quick oscar question. got a 55 gallon today. my 4 inch oscar is in a 20 gallon long. im putting him in the 55. would it be ok to get another oscar and a red bellied pacu to put in there also?
im planning on upgrading to a 125 gal. pretty soon. suggestions/comments would be appreciated.
thanks :D
guess that would depend on how soon "pretty soon" is. Oscars grow fast. Not to sure abut the Pacu idea....
Just keep the one oscar in the 55, you'll be rewarded with better growth and coloration. When you get the 125, you can try and introduce another oscar or other large cichlid. Forget the pacu, they quickly outgrow even a 125, and you would be better suited using your money and tank space on something else.

2 oscars in a 55 untill 6" is allright. your better off getting the 125 now whats the sence in the trouble of setting up a 55 for 6 months. red pacu grow big, tough and frighten easy in small tanks and really go nuts, thats why there called tank busters. and yes 125 for a pacu is tight. :D

Really tight. We're talking about a 28"+ fish that will be nearly as high, and really thick.
Also, Welcome MFEYs, and Lakertaker1
This site has been up since last April? Hhmm, my memory is bad :) So I'm not sure. But less than a year anyway.
Good luck
