Hi there,
I bought these two several months ago and at the time, they were sold to me as Juruparis. However, now that I've had them a while, they're aren't looking much like the Jurupari's in my books and I was wondering if any of you had better insight into what they actually are.
Another thing is that the two of them are starting to look different from one another. One has a facial stripe going through his eyes, and the other doesn't. Also, one has red eyes and the other's are gold. I know that there can be variations between individuals of the same species and maybe that's all these differences are, but if not, I'd like to be prepared for whatever accomodations I need to make for them as adults.
At present, they are both a little over three inches in length, and have grown about an inch since I got them about three months ago.
Any help is appreciated :)
Thanks!

Wow, I went and looked up altifrons and the pics of the younger fish look very familiar (and some had gold eyes and some had red, too) I would like very much if that is what they are, the adults were gorgous! Thanks for the help :)

Whatever they turn out to be, they will look cute inside Carl. You better start building that new aquarium soon!
