I met an american breeder yesterday. His tanks were set up really nice and with good ideas.

What he did was built a styrofoam caves for 1/3 of the tank. By caves I mean the entire 1/3 of the tank was blocked off be a styrofoam concrete divider with small wholes throughout it just big enough for the female to fit through. It gives her refuge from the male and looked incredibly cool. It was so well done on his jaguar tank that it looked like you were looking into a hollowed out cave. I will try to go back and take some pics.

That does sound cool, pics would be great. I have a question though, what is this I've heard about styrofoam in the tank? I've heard it in other places too. How does that work? I'm not sure if I've ever seen it done before. What kind do you use, where do you get it?

Beaker. I have never done it but have seen it lots. People just go to Home depot get a bag of cement or sand, some epoxy or aquarium safe silicone. You can either carve the styrofoam usining layers to get a better effect, or better yet burn it. Regardless it does not hurt your fish, or change the water conditions. There is really nothing special about doing it believe it or not. I would have thought foreign objects like that would kill your fish. I have always wanted to try it, but my wife hardly lets me feed my fish as it is!!
