multiple females in 10 gal?? with eggs / fry in with em??
pcocks , zeb obliqs, ruti island. ive been stripping, but it makes sense to me that " holding " may be a learned experience, not instinct. im thinking to let them spit from now on, but like alota others im running outa space. thanks!!!!!!!!!

i had to break down and buy a second one about three months ago when my Ps. daktari started breeding like, well, mbuna.
i've had more than one holding female in a tank before...
the really annoying thing is separating out all those little fish when it comes time to sell them/trade them/take them to the auction...

sometimes they'll pick 'em up again if you leave them alone. how long had she been holding? it's best to move them after they've been holding for a week or two, then when you move them, don't lift them out of the water--put a bowl or some kind of container under the net before raising it above water level.
