I live in Portsmouth,Va and was hoping that somebody in Va had some multis they would consider selling. I've check all the lfs and nobody sells them. They are going in a 45 by themselves so even if they are fry it doesn't matter. If you have some multis to spare post me with a price. Thanks. :D

I have a colony of Similis. These are very similar to Multies and appearance. Try looking for these as well.

how large is your colony (M/F ratio) and in what size tank. I considered them at first because my lfs sells them but to many ppl told me they form more of a harem than a colony. Is this true? I'm still looking for my multis though.

I have a group of 8. From what I can tell I have 3 male and 5 female. The females stay very close to the shells most of the time, while the males hang out in the rocks above. When breeding the males stay just outside the shell until the fry emerge. They are cool little fish.

Well when they have fry does the whole colony protect them or is it just the mom and dad defendeing against the other similis? I really wanna start a colony because they are going in a tank with some julies and i'd rather the whole colony defend the area because if they don't i think the julies could take them one on one just not 8 on one you know what i mean?

I would say the whole colony protects them, only when there is no brood do they hover around the rocks. Also I have a breeding pair of Julie Malieri in the same 125g tank, they leave them alone, mine are very mellow and very rarely leave the rockwork.

Well Ive never shipped fish before so I dont know how much it will all cost yet. They are all f1's and the biggest ones are about 1/8" so depending on how big you wanted we can wait and let em grow a little more
