Sometimes you see things that make you just shake your head.

Tuesday I built a rack to put in my fish room so I could move the fish I had outside inside because of the cold weather coming. I actually have angelfish living outside in tanks right now. Jake and Carol - Wrenchpuller (great people from other forums) had given me a bunch of plants at one of the TN meetings a long time ago, after filling several tanks up then having them grow like a jungle I had to put them somewhere. I started tossing the spare plants in a 45 gallon long I had outside.

I wanted to give the 45 a good cleaning before I brought it in the house so I dumped all the plants in 3 of the angelfish tanks out there turn the tank up then proceed to use my python to wash it out with very VERY HOT water. Pull the frames off to clean out any dust that may have collected as well. Get it clean wipe down the sides with a clean towel then use paper towels to dry it all up again. Wait a while because a cool episode of SG-1 is on then bring the tank in put it in the new rack, fill it up, stick some seeded filters in there then decide to take another break.

I am surfing the various fish forums I frequent when something catches my eye. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Swimming around like nothing had happened was an Endler, color me suprised. I guess the little guy hitched a ride on some of those plants I tossed in there. How it survived the hot water bath then the drying down I will never know. Wonders really do never cease to amaze me. Up until I fed the little guy to my Fusco a little while ago I had never seen a more lucky fish...... ok I AM kidding about that. I am putting the endler in a safe haven. I figure if it made it through all of that it deserves a reprieve. :ok:

Solace, the real question here is which episode of SG1 was it?

i just watched my favorite episode (DVDs!) earlier tonight... just curious...(I'm a huge fan...)

but that is really cool about that fish... pretty amazing!

Yeah that is one tough little fish.

It was an old episode where the SG team first ran into Thor.

What do you think about Atlantis? I like it so far myself.

Yeah. That's a good one! Mondays rule. SG1 marathon. I just kinda veg for hours.

I've only seen a few episodes of Atlantis so far... it's on Friday and that's Matt's beer night... but when i get TiVo in a couple months, I'll fix that.

But yeah. I like it, too.

I watched the episode where Jack and Teal'c get trapped in the time loop where they repeating the same few hours over and over again... i love that one.

Is the Farscape mini series starting this weekend? I was more a Space Above and Beyond and Babylon 5 fan, but Farscape was a great show too.

SGM,

Yeah I believe we had a thread split to a Sci-Fi show thread a long time ago... and yeah those Wraiths are pretty interesting.

Jim thinks they're pretty creepy. I'm not so convinced yet. I thought Go'auld were worse because you positively can't tell who one is unless it wants to show you.

B5 was awesome. It is the epitome of what a closed storyline show should be. Too bad they tried to go another season after they completed the storyline. It would be a crown jewel in my DVD collection although my folks got all the episodes on VHS in order except for 1.

Yes, this Sunday, Peacekeeper Wars, 8pm, Sci-Fi.

ahhhh...but the wraith can deceive you with illusions. i was such a b-5 junkie that i was on tenterhooks for any b-5 storyline that they came out with. i caught a couple of episodes of andromeda--it got much better than the earlier episodes, i think. and i know that it's heresy, but i liked the new battlestar galactica, too.

Oh, I'll be onto the new Battlestar when they release the series. I like the new, darker feel of it.

I've been watching my way through Andromeda on Tuesday nights. It's like FarScape; you have to get in early to understand where they all are in the current story IMO.
