I have done alot of reading up on this fish, and many state that is in indeed a "frankin fish" . Another common name for this fish is a Lab OB Peacock. In a text by Ad Konings he states that the fish is plentiful at Minos Reef and he calls it a female Red Zebra, M estherae, and says that they also occur as an orange-blotch (OB) morph. Does anyone know the truth behind this fish, because mine had fry and i saved all of them; my question being is if i should use them as feeder fish.

the marmalade cat is an OB(orange blotch) ps. zebra or or can also be an OB labeotropheus fuelleborni. the ob peacock is a hybrid which is gotten by crossing a marmalade cat(ob zebra) with a peacock. the marmalade cat is not a hybrid--the ob peacock is.

 ..............i know the peacock is a hybrid; both fish are orange with black blotches. They are very if not exactly similar. I guess a better question would be How (if there is a distinction) do you tell the fish apart.
