i'm really thinking he is an elongated gold puffer if i go by the aqualog book. it says they get to 8cm.. which is like 3 inches or so right?! cuz he's easily 4 inches and growing every day. this pic is from kinda far away.

hopefully you know bevo!

according to aqualog, he is a Auriglobus silus.( i realise the genus name has probably changed around). the book states that "the two species are similar in both coloration and behavior, the only differences are in the form of the body. The caudal peduncle of A. silus is longer and more slender than in A. modestus."

after looking at the two pictures, i think he looks more like a silus... but he is still relatively a juvie.. so it's hard to say. the pic of the modestus is of an older specimen and the pic of the silus is of a younger one.

also, after looking at him, his caudal peduncle is about 1/3 in or so... so i guess that's long?!? or longer than the modestus would be?
