2 acua clear 500's and a penguin powerhead 450 (145gal/hr). i use the powerhead as a biological filter. that be enough for a 100gal?

As long as you are filtering the water 8-10 times it will be fine. That is 10 times so you are ok with the ac's.

I use two aquaclears on my 75, and it works great. Although it may be a bit of overkill, it still works great.

hehe, nah. i had those 2 aquaclears on my 60 gallon. my fish loved the motion. in the 100 though, now there doesnt seem to be much water movment *hooks up another 4 acua clears*....there! much better :twisted:
