Please can someone identify the sex of my Firemouth.

looks like a female because it is very rounded and the dorsal fin is not elongated

looks female to me also,my male had long trailing fins and was a bit brighter in color,man i miss that fish.

males have very long, stringy dorsal fins, and they would most likely not be that "plump" looking... i'm 99% sure... and you should also take Jason_S's advice, he knows his stuff!

here's a pic of my male firemouth. unfortunately his dorsal is not extended so you can't truly see how it extends.

Hi Guys

Thanks a lot my LFS also agrees its a female, so I went and got her a partner today hopefully!! The LFS were pretty sure it was male fingers crossed.
