Here's my latest completed project in an attempt to return to the hobby. Thanks to everyone on the board for some of the ideas that went into making this stand.

I've included quite a bit of information on the page listed below.

If the pics on the page take too long for most to load, I'll replace them with smaller pics.

beautiful stand. Are you going to leave the 29 to the right or are you going to center it?

I had planned to use the sides for storage and maybe a future canister filter, so I was thinking about leaving it on the side. If I don't get around to making the doors soon, it would look better centered as a show tank. I don't plan on aquascaping the lower tank either since it will be used as a breeder/growout tank.

On that note, I just finished coating with epoxy, my home made rocks for aquascaping the 55.

The rocks turned out a bit darker than I wanted. The sky blue rit dye didn't take to the rocks. The yellow turned a contrasting brown color, so I didn't use as much of that color. Pretty much just mottled with black rit against the natural concrete color.

The large pieces will cover up a sponge filter on each end and the drop down from the penguin 330 just right of center. This should be enough circulation to turn over the tank 11.2 times per hour.

I don't think I'll document this project with as much detail as I did the stand. I pretty much followed the directions found on the sites already available.
