I have never kept a festae (true red terror) until now and have to tell you. This is the meanest little fish I have ever seen. I have her (yes her) in a 66 with a buttikoferi and althogh they are still small, they are incredibly mean. Both equally. The difference between the two if that the festae is half the size of the butti and holds her own. The best part is when they show eachother up every once in a while the terror bars become pure black. They are truly an incredible fish.
I also had a chance this week to buy a breeding pair for a good price. I had to trun it down as I can pretty well guarantee one will die. The guy selling them says you need at least a 200 gallon and he is pretty modest about tank size for a breeding pair. Dividers don't work for them as it is the only fish that the female although smaller is usually meaner than the males.
I just thought I would share that.....I must be bored.
