"talking" catfish

...anyone have any experience with ?
I just picked up a catfish in the same 'category' as the talkers...I think he croaks too...'conchi'??? Does that sound right?....Had no name for him & couldn't find him in the Baensch Atlas...I'll post a pic ASAP..his barbels/whiskers look a lot like roots...he's armoured and has big eyes...almost looks 'marbled' siler/grey & dark brownish...also has a saw blade running down each side (like a raphael might have)

RUDY! yep...that's him...

I got him from Eric Bodrock..$8....:)
He's really a very pleasant addition to my tank thus far...no one was 100% sure on what he was...I think they (there were a few more) came in as something else (accident)..

Got any experience w/ these guys rudy?
(you were right about getting addicted to catfish...lol...I find myself more & more into them...)

oh wait a minute...

the 1st pic looks like him, but the more i look at these guys, the 'barbels' aren't right...
My fish's almost look like a mud puppy's gill branches....

I am a bit stumped as the spines down the side and color pattern says Doridae, however the barbel are not like you describe.....

..these guys are as close as I can find so far...they seem to be more brown and have a smaller eye...mine's more gray and the eye is a bit bigger...but the barbels are right on...
