What could I keep with a trimac in a 6 foot 125g? If I got a pair, would I have to keep them seperated? How do you sex them?

Think of the as the same as a Red Devil Or Midas. So tankmates are possible, but must be chosen very carefullly. If you wanted other cichlids you would want to pick small, tough, fast ones that will not be to much of a threat to the huge Trimac and that can get away if (when) they are chased. Convicts, small Pikes, Irregularis and Neets could all work, provided they had ample hiding spots that can't be reached by the Trimac (a tangle of drift wood would work very well). Other non-cichlid tankmates could include several Loach species, Synodontis cats, large Pim cats, Bichirs, Silver Dollars, Tin-Foil Barbs, Leporinus and the list goes on. Pretty much anything semi large and tough, or fast :) most of these would be ignored in most cases, but the Trimac could easily turn on them, so you may haev to try a few things. And I wouldn't leave a pair in a 125g without a divider. It could be a partial divider or a complete. I fear without one, someone would be killed.
