I have a friend of mine that has one of these.

Sounds mean, wonder if anyone knows much about these. I have a 125 with a motley crew of fish that aren't really compatible but they do get along for now. I don't really want to overstock, but I hate to pass on free fish!

I don't know, man....it says right on the link you posted "territorial and aggressive. Any fish too small to be eaten will be attacked and killed."
The FH is the only aggressive fish you have listed (sometime soon he's going to wind up wanting that whole tank to himself), and none of your fish are very big yet.

He will help you not overstock. Mystus (hemibagrus) cats of most kinds are no joke. Daytime things will work out, but when you turn the lights off is where you are going to have to worry. They will attack everything in your tank. If not now, when they get larger. Trust me take a pass, or give it a home by itself.

If I was close I would take it.

If you are going to try it I would suggest you leave the lights on all the time as he will not have a substantial advantage that way.

Also want to mention that they are 100% muscle. They do not look tought until you see them pushing rocks around in your tank like they are sponges.

Thanks all for the great feedback. I'll for sure pass on this one.

Crazyfishlady,

I'm keeping both eyes on the FH. If he starts to become too much of a wild child it's off to solitary confinement in the 40. <G> So far he is behaving himself in the corner.
