cross breeding?

My male kennyi and female red zebra have gotten often friendly lately. The kennyi doesn't let any other fish into his end of the tank, but the red zebra. And she just started to help him dig under one of the rocks. Whats going on?

Could be mating rituals, with digging and agression as Red Zebras seem to breed with any other Mbuna. They aren't all that picky. Also most cichlids dig and are teritorial. One other addition in favor of mating is the willy shakes. Where the male shakes spazmatically.
