Well Im not really a beginer at all this,but i didnt know were else to do it. I have been doing Cichlids for a while and have a Jack Demsey, who I recently bought a new tank mate for (and oscar named peace cuz she was pretty peacful for an oscar) Peace and Candy (my Jack Demsey) were unseperable, until a few days later I noticed that Peace had Ich. I tried to take her out of the tank but Candy wouldnt let me and tore a hole in the net. So peace died later that night, and i took her out with my bare hand and put her in a jar next to Candys tank to Candy could see her. The next day I went into the tank and saw that Candy was curled up inside a rock by were I had peace so she could see peace. I then moved Candy and did the proper cleaning for the cage, after that was done a few days later I went to buy Candy another friend (because she wouldnt eat etc) I decided to buy her a Fire Mouth that was the same size as she was, and I brought the Fire Mouth home and put it in the tank. Once Candy saw Chris (my Fire Mouth) she wouldnt leave him alone, and kept fallowing him around and around, then the next morning I walked in and they looked like they were doing the mating ritual. What I am asking basically is could a Jack Dempsey and a Fire Mouth breed?
