Well I watched the female Calvus from a distance picking off her fry tonight as they try to get out of the shell :x .
I was thinking she went in (laid eggs) the same time the vittatus did and still no fry, I've already moved the Vittatus mother back to the 55g. Also I noticed how fat the belly was on the Calvus she is also picking off the Vittatus fry that get through the divider.
I think I pulled the Caudos to early and still no sign of Chalinochromis fry :x .

Its really frustrating, some tangs breed like rabbits and others are real touchy :!:

boilermaker, sorry to hear that things are going so badly in the nursery--will you be able to save any of the fry?

I was watching her tonight I could see 2 little fry poking their heads around the corner inside the shell as she hovers above, there is no way of seperating her from the shell and she won't let them out. :x
Man I wish I had a macro with a good zoom that would be the winning picture on the other sites

Well my bad news turned to good news, theres about 16 little calvus fry :D . She must have been picking them up and spitting them back into the shell.
