It is about 2" long now.

It looks like a Neolamprologus brichardi or one of it's close relatives, they're from Lake Tanganyika in Africa. Maybe a female from the finnage.

Welcome! I went ahead and moved this over to the African forum in hopes someone there might be of more help. Although, Jonah may have hit the nail on the head. I really don't know.

yup--that's your fish--neolamprologus brichardi.

I have a "Daffodil" Brichardi in my tank...a beautiful fish!! The masked Brichardi is an interesting one too...
