Ghost knife attacking catfish.

I ghost was living in some drift wood for about a year but then all the sudden didnt want to be there no more, now he wants the log that hols all my cats and they have all taken a beating from him. But the most recent one was with a Bristlenose catfish, she was attacked on the right fin right in front of me, its fin is just about gone and it seems to be the top bone is shredded of its flesh, there when she swam away i notice that she went red, she was sitting there puffing really bad and all her head was turning blood red, i thought that was the end of her for sure, but she is doing fine now.
Anyone know what this is about??

whats up vip,both ghost and bristle LOVE caves and will fight to keep them or try to take over one one that better suits them.As far as aggression goes the bristle is only mildly aggressive when protecting there young(even then there not overbearing about it either)the ghost is not overly aggressive but is no pushover and IMO is alittle more prone to exiting residents out of there home's if they find it to be suitable living quarters.I'm glad to here the bristle alright now,hope this helps,take care
