I don't know why people sell hybrids, but this was a first for me. Maybe they were mistaken at the LFS, but they were selling Jaguar/Convict hybrids. I thought it was funny, because I was just reading how Convicts are basically the food for Jags in the wild and that Cons tried to feed on baby Jags as a kind of natural balance. I'm not sure how these two had kids inbetween meals, but it sounds kinda fishy. Besides, I don't want a fish that is always trying to think of a way to eat itself, let alone it's tankmates! For real though, the looked like Jags for the most part, but you could tell there was something different about them. They were all about 1" and were selling for $3.99 if anyone was curious about that.

Beaker! I have seen this as well. There is a fish store in Calgary that has a breeding pair of jag/convict. The male is the convict. This was nto by choice and both parents are for sale seperately but it is kind of funny.

He sells these thing for around the same size. Actually they are kind kind cool because they look like a jag but have the personality of a convict. They have one that is about 4 inches that I pass by all the time.

Now I think they should give these thing away as feeders rather then sell them, but whatever floats your boat I guess. 8)
