What kind of cichlid can be kept in a 20-30 gallon tank?

Hi, I would like to keep a cichlid or two, but have limited space and money. What kind(common names please) can I keep in a 20-30 gallon aquarium? I was thinking convict maybe? Thanks.

Convicts, firemouths, salvini (if you get the 30), blue acaras, keyhole. Quite a few different types actually. I would go with cons if you are just getting into it. They are very cool to watch and have great personalities.

Next best in my opinion would be a salvini. You could try a convict in with a salvini if you go for a 30. Just grow them up together.

I once kept a red devil in a 20, she was happy until she got to about 8 inches and then I moved her into a 55 gallon tank.
