looks nice devildude - can you show some brighter shots and a little more head on...
I've thought about this sort of stacked/layered effect for slate and you seem to have nailed it! :ok:
 How do the fish like it? What sort do you keep in the tank?

for fish i keep mostly agressive mbuna
PS. elongatus
PS. Blue cobalt Zebra
PS. Red Zebra
PS. Daktari
Mel. Arautus
Labeotropheus Fulleborni red top
Cynotilapia afra
Commen pleco x2
The stacked look was what i was going for and i'll post a picture of my old similar setup as soon as possible. as for better photos i'm working on it but my digicam is eating batteries at a phenomenal rate.

Thanks - I bought some recharge'ables for mine - it's appetite was more than I could handle... It's best to get a high "MaH" when you get rechargeables - I bought the eveready 1700 MaH 1-hour recharge (charger and 4 bateries) at walmart cause they had the best price. My camera uses 2 batteries so I always have a second set already to go!
By the way - Did you do anything to secure the rocks together? I've used Aquastix epoxy in the past and it works great. REAL strong and dries fast!

I was wondering if those rocks are secured as well...if no, they may end up being a problem....
Got another head on pic? It looks good, but the pic is kinda soso...

as for pics probably later today but it will be hard to do head on because of the siz of the room.
and as for securing the rocks, no i don't use putty's or epoxies, i do however do alot of work to make sure my setup is stable, in all cases i use the three point system where each rock rests on a minimum of three stable points so there is no rocking (no pun intended) or balancing invoved. in a few rare cases i'll take a rasp to one rock or another to make tounge and groove fittings so ther they are even more stable (usually toward the base).

wow, with the fish you keep I'm surprised they don't move the rocks! Those zebras are strong and I've had one move a rock I NEVER thought he could!
Good luck - and thanks for sharing your new rockwork with us!
