I just wanted to say thanks to all you guys, living in the UK, the fish scene seem to have died a death over the last couple of years, it's great to be able to come on here, kick back and talk shop.

P.s. i still live in hope of actually seeing a trimac, never mind owning one.

I am pretty sure Trimac are a myth now a days with the flowerhorn craze, (that will be one of my rants a bit later) but if I find one I will bring it over one day.

They sell trimacs at the Petsmarts in Oklahoma. I was as surprised as anyone. They do actually have a little warning sign next to their tank about aggression. :wink:

I use a couple of boards that are based in the UK, but there's a definite air of "I'm right/you're wrong" going on with them, especially with the moderators. It makes people afraid to ask questions. God help you if they find out about a clown loach in a mbuna tank. :lol:

Are you sure they are trimacs Jonah? That is what I mean most stores including the chains....especially the chains sell flowerhorns as trimacs.

Or three spot, or whatever you want to call them. C class flowerhorns look a lot like them

I've no idea, they all look alike and they're ID'd as trimacs. I doubt if anyone there knows what a flowerhorn is (not an exagereration). I'll see if I can get a picture with my crappy digital camera (stupid Santa forgot my new camera this year).

jonah, thats why i'm on here, much more friendly, you wouldent believe how hard it is to get hold of cichlids over here, you guys dont know how lucky you are.

like you say, at least on here you dont have to pretend that you know everything,
