I noticed the other day that I had some tubifex worms living in my gravel of my 45 gallon tank. Is this bad? I have a pair of convicts in the tank and saw one of there babiesd battling with something in the gravel. When i looked closer it was a tubifex worm. I used to keep angels in the tank and havent had them in there for a year. Thats probably the last time i feed them live tubifex worms. The young convicts seem to love to eat them. Should I be concerned? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

hey guy-
I have blackworms in my substrate...a few escape each time I feed them...then the fish have a ball 'hunting' for them...which is OK by me...gives the fish something to do instead of pick on each other :)
On hot days, the worms stick themselves up out of the sand (i guess they really don't care for warm water...)..i see long strands 'growing' out of the sand...too bad for them, the fish see them too :)
