I have a 150gal cichlid tank and wanted to add on to the tank so i do not have to cycle/filter/heat the new 30gal. tank... I already have that part figured out but If all i wanted to do is breed ghost shrimp could i put like 30 in a 30gal. tank along with about 20 guppies, ALL I WOULD NEED TO DO IS feed them and change the water and they would breed. I would also have plants in the tank w/little gravel for the hatchlings to hide in.. Will this work. Breeding and fry growout tank all in one??. All i want to do is feed and maintain I DO NOT want to strip fry, move fry, move mother, just provide shelter for both mother and fry. Is this OK? Any suggestions on this or picking my breeding shrimp?? Any help would be appreciated. ALso does anyone have any experience with breeding these two? My cichlids breed all the time together and the fry seem to hide fine in the tank together. PLEASE ANY IDEAS ASAP BECAUSE I AM GETTING THE FISH TOMORROW?!!?? THANKS:ok:

AlSO, is there a way to make these foods more nutricious for my cichlids? Special foods. I will feed the parents top quality foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp) can i feed the fry frozen daphnia? is that ok? Thanks in advance.

I have a mixed tank of many different kinds of cichlids. I have slowly miked them together over the years and have researched their eating habits/what they eat. All of their diet are pretty much the same. I think that these foods once in a while would be a great treat.
