i'm going out of town for a week over new years, and i'm worried about my fish. i got one of the giant "plankton banquet" spirulina chunks, but i'm concerned that all the fish won't get food. is there anything i need to know before leaving them by themselves for a week? also, can babies (about an inch) eat the spirulina chunks? any pointers would be welcome.
thanx,
-j.
oh, and merry christmas.

I don't know about babies, but adults can go a month without food. The females do it every time they hold. A week should be a walk in the park for them.
You could get a bunch of hornwort and just throw it in the tank before you leave. It should take a few days for them to eat all of it depending on how much you use. 8-10 feet lasts about 4 days in my tank.

Mine like live brine shrimp. I feed it once or twice a month.
