Hi all!

I have 3 -4" clown loaches in my 90 gallon...

I came in today to see 2 of them fighting (i think).....one got very pale -the other looked pretty normal...they were getting 'rigid' and bumping sideways into each other..then go head to tail, then head to head...then it seems that they were trying to 'spike' each other w/ their spine (by the nose)!

One is VERY fat (as if with eggs- but i know they really haven't been bred in captivity)....

Anyone ever seen this before???

I did make 2 changes recently to the tank- i switched to black sand in the tank from light gravel, and i raised the temp to 82 (the sevs were showing a little ick)...

????

Never seen or heard of that kind of behavior with the clown loach, that's amazing(if they are spawning) I've heard that there almost down right impossible to breed in captivity,MUCH CONGRATS if they have eggs and hatch, please keep us all updated.

They've been bred several times, but it's still not common. I believe a member of the Pittsburgh club has done it before. You might want to ask around at your next meeting or on your club website.
