Red Hook question

My Red Hook is currently 4",I've been on yahoo trying to find some info on sexing them with no luck,any takers?also how big do they get?,I've read some info on a few sights all different,the most common answer I've got was 17",anyone concur?

Just watch out they run into glass alot I've even heard of them breaking tanks that is the reason i got rid of my 13" I had in a 110 Gal tank I was just afraid of coming home to a carpet pond. as far as sexxing goes i only had 1 and wasn't that interested in breeding. and as far as size mine grew to 13 in. in about 1 1/2 years. hope this helps...
