my oscars face has looked like it was peeling and his sides were getting white patches, i started adding melafix and the stuff on the sides went away and now there is only some patches on his head does anyone know what this could be, does it sound like Hole In The Head, i hope not

O ya if it was hole in the head would he still be active and eating

Do the patches look like they're on top of the skin, or do they look like skin is missing?
HITH does not effect appetite.

the skin looks like its missing on the head but on the sides it was on top of the skin but the melafix made that go away, i've been using it for four days so far

I would say then that yes it has HITH. I have not had much success with any meds for this. The best results come from frequent, large water changes & aquarium salt.

I agree. Large frequent water changes, salt and a diverse, balanced diet....
