simple question: can water be too hard for mbuna? a friend in Ga has well water with a hardness that is "off the charts" (tetra gh test kit), he's wondering if he would need to treat the h2o before adding fish, i told him it should be fine, but i thought i'd check with the experts before giving bad advice...
thanx,

They should love it. Most farm raised Africans are bred in ponds in Florida. The limestone in the Floridan Aquifer there makes the water like liquid rock :!: If your friend is in Georgia, especially the southern part of the state, he's probably also drawing from a limestone well. There's always the tried and true method of initially putting two or three inexpensive fish in first and observing them for a while. Hope this helps....Scott 8)
