Hi all, I heard (from a pet store associate) that their spikes can be poisonous if another fish eats it. Is this true?

Not poisoness but can get stuck in the fishes mouth that tries to eat him. That happened to me with my Texas and I had to take him to the vet so they could use their small pliers to get it out. He would have died if not for the vet.
Do not put cories in with large semi-agressive to agressive cichlids.
