I like my blue eyed cichlids...they stay on the smaller side (6") , they're interesting, easy to breed and I think they're nice looking...nothing flashy, but a cool fish! (the males get a big nuchal hump, the females get a racoon striping when ready to spawn)...

(but I know YOU want a choc cichlid, right reefcrazy??)

What size were you thinking of moving up to? When it comes to the medium to small sized cichlids i think you can't beat, salvinis, convicts or firemouths. They would do ok in that 30g as pairs just the salvini male can get large and could hit 7-8" and you would probably need a 50g for a pair.
If you are thinking of a 75g then there are a wide range of medium to large cichlids. I am gonna say green terrors because they are my favourites but blue acaras, severum, jack dempsey and a green texas would do fine in a 75g.

Hey now...OK..here's my analogy...

"consider me the starter bacteria for a new tank, from an old existing one"....
I've got enough to share to get you established too..

(See...doesn't that sound better than a DUMPER in a DUMPSITE??!!)
