female and male . there are small fry under the male on the rocks they are in a 35 gal by themselves. that is the best way to get the colors no stress just happy

Convicts are Neotropical cichlids, not African.

no they are black convicts. i dont believe there is such thing as a blue cinvict unless it ia a pink convict that id dyed.

http://www.cichlid.org/index.html scroll down to the bottom of the page. I don't know if these are the blue convicts that Tor4AF was referring to, but these are related to convicts, and they are blue. They are Honduran Red Points, but sometimes called the Electric Blue Convict.:D

I have a female 3" blue convict, she had babies with a 3" pink con. There are 5 left, and 2 of them are already showing blueish tint to them. They are 2 months old. - salty

no they are not blue cons. the colors came from there diet. brine shrimp in the morning blood worms in the after noon 5:00 or so. then pellets at night .not large feedings though.

I own two blue convicts now. So now i know there are blue convicts. And my black and white one mated with my blue and white one. Cant wait to see how the frys turn out to be.
