I walked into a popular pet store chain today and to my suprise an 150g tank and stand for under 1000 bucks commanded my attention! I look over to the side and there a 125g with stand for under 500 clams
 I don't really need that couch in my living room!!

I had that same problem last year. I liked the shape of the tall 150g, but I couldn't see paying an extra $400 for just 25g more of volume. I got the 125g with stand for about $550 including tax, then bought all the filters at BigAls.
I think Sean can attest that my house isn't big enough for another tank. :( We've done some serious overcrowding of the living room to make room for a danged tree.

I am in the same boat. I am looking at a fish tank coffee table. Trying to make fish tanks usefull. It's a sickness I tell you.

Why can't contractors make walls out of fish tanks? Must they always use such dull and overused materials such as sheetrock?
You sittin out in your garage now Jonah. There ain't no way you got a tree in that house. :D

I really like the indoor pool idea! Then you could have some really cool stuff in it like sharks, barracuda, etc. I could use all the stray cats in our neighborhood to feed them.
Gypsy, I've seen in movies where people have converted the upstairs of a warehouse into living quarters. Just thing of all the tank space you would have then
In the holiday inn, in montreal, the lobby is an enormous pond, and it has little walkways going to the elevator and such. They use ceramic tiles, and it looks really nice, now if only my parents want to convert the basement...
