please need suggestions. I just changed my substrate fron gravel to sand. I had an ugf that had to be removed. NASTY job. after a few days my filter went and had to purchase a new one. I got a ac300 put my sponge from previous filter in along with new sponge . I now have trace elements of ammonia but nitrite level is high. Fish actually seem to be doing ok. 55 gallon tank. What other filteration should I use . I also had 2 powerheads with my ugf now i am just running the 300ac. help please
